Caroline Lucy Scott (1784–1857) was an English novelist and religious writer, and Trevelyan was one of her better-known fictional works.

Bound in full calf. Externally, smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in slight loss to calf, with slight fading to extremities. Rubbing to spines, particularly the tail of spine, with slight loss to spine labels. Previous bookseller's discreet label to front paste down of volume III. Bookplate of J. Bailey to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with scattered spotting to first and last few leaves and fore edges.
