Eleven volumes of twelve of The Poetical Works of Sir Walter Scott. This set is missing volume five which contains 'Sir Tristrem'.

All volumes have been rebound in half morocco. Each volume is illustrated with a frontispiece and an engraved title page. 

Volumes one, three, four, six and seven are dated 1933. Volumes ten, eleven and twelve are dated 1934. Volumes two, eight and nine are undated. 

Volumes one to four contain 'Minstrelsy of the Scottish Border'. Volume six contains 'The Lay of the Last Minstrel' and a collection of ballads. Volume seven comprises of Marmion with a folding plate. Volume eight comprises 'Lady of the Lake.' Volume nine comprises 'Rokeby,' and 'The Vision of Don Roderick. Volume ten includes 'The Lord of the Isles.' Volume eleven contains 'The Bride of Triermain,' 'Harold Dauntless' and 'The Field of Waterloo' and some songs and miscellanies. Volume twelve comprises of dramatic pieces by Sir Walter Scott.
