First edition. The Library of Entertaining Knowledge. Illustrated throughout. A detailed study into the anatomy of various common birds, with information on their habits and habitats. Written by James Rennie, a Scottish naturalist. who wrote on many topics including insects and botany. With publisher's advertisements to the front and rear of the text.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and board edges with the odd small mark to the boards. Minor splits in the cloth to the rear joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Minor age toning to the endpapers with a contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
