What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Leather Binding, Scarce

The scarce first edition of this collection of the poems of William Wordsworth, selected and edited by Joseph Hine for 'the use of schools and young persons'.

With a preface from Hine.

Hine selected these poems with Wordsworth's permission, with the collection including such classics as "I Wandered Lonely" and "Tintern Abbey".

Lacking the publisher's advertisement to the rear, and the errata slip.

With the bookplate of J. O. Edwards to the front pastedown, and inscription of E. B. Owen to the front free endpaper.

Condition

In a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. A touch of rubbing to back strip, otherwise externally excellent. Front hinge strained, and just a touch tender. Bookplate to front pastedown, inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages a touch age toned, with the odd spot and light handling marks throughout.
