Bourne Hall Draper describes diverse aspects of life in the Middle East, with discussion of housing, hospitality, threshing, sacrifice, food, cannibalism, agriculture, architecture, clothing, posture, and climate. He draws parallels between these observations about culture, and passages from the pages of the Bible.
Condition
In the publisher's original roan backed, cloth covered boards. Rubbing to back strip head and tail, and joints. Front joint starting, with board firmly held. Head of rear joint starting, with board firmly held. Internally, title page detached to head and a touch tender, otherwise firmly bound. Spotting to plates, with further spotting and offsetting to pages facing them. Pages otherwise generally clean and bright, though a touch age toned.
