Description

A very scarce single volume of this periodical, a monthly magazine edited, printed and published by Joseph Robins, who also published 'The Gentleman's Pocket Magazine' and the 'Parisian Gem of Fashion'.

This volume features issues from the latter half of 1829.

This periodical features essays, poems, serialised stories, articles on history and fashions.

The Magazine began publication in 1824, and ceased publication in 1840. It was being published in an era where the role of women was beginning to change, from the Georgian era into the Victorian; as Britain moved into the Victorian era in 1837, the role of a women again became more family focused.
