Beautifully illustrated with fifty monochrome etched plates, including an illustrated title page and list of plates. Collated, complete. 

A fantastic collection of plates from Edward William Cooke, the noted British artist, created when we was only eighteen years old. The work features a series of plates depicting a range of ships, such as oyster boats, hay barges, a Dutch galliot, a fishing boat and much more. 

Bound in full contemporary straight grain morocco, re-backed, endpapers and blanks renewed.

Condition

Bound in full contemporary straight grain morocco, re-backed, endpapers and blanks renewed. Externally very smart with marks to the boards, and very minimal edge wear. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned pages, with occasional light handling marks, the odd light tidemark and the odd minor spot.
