Francis Bond Head offers an account of his travels in South America, through Argentina and the Andes, in the early 19th century, when he was a young man.
He attempted to set up a mining company in Argentina, and rode between Buenos Aires and the Andes twice, from which he was given the nickname "Galloping Head".
