A very scarce broadsheet newspaper for Glasgow, this number No. 2,627, for Monday February 25th 1828.
'Glasgow Herald' was founded in 1783, and is still printed today as 'The Herald'. This issue shows an interesting insight into life in Scotland in the late Georgian era.
With notices and adverts, and articles, such as 'Glasgow Asylum for the Blind', 'The Planter's Guide', 'Extraordinary Railway Performance', 'The Anatomy of Drunkenness', and local, national, and global news.
Condition
Unbound, as issued. Light edge wear, mostly to the backstrip, which has some loss and chips. Leaves are age-toned with light handling marks. Stamp to the head of the first leaf.
