These works provide a view of all the officers of the army and Royal Marines who were on full, retired or half-pay in the years 1828 and 1833. Each volume is comprised of chapters listing 'Garrisons', 'Officers with Honorable Distinctions', 'Local Rank' and many more.
With an unpaginated Index on 'Succession of Colonels', 'Casualties' and 'Alterations and Additions' to both volumes.
Condition
In a full tree calf binding. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to the extremities and joints. Light bumping to the extremities. Rubbing to the gilt and to the spine, causing loss to the spine lettering. Lacking spine label. Hinges are slightly strained, but holding. Front endpaper to 1833 volume is strained. Internally, generally firmly bound, with a few pages working loose or partially detached, mainly to the 1828 volume. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the occasional spot.
