The first edition of this vanishingly scarce work.
An account of the trial of David Landale in 1826.
Landale, a tanner in Kirkcaldy, challenged banker George Morgan to a duel, after an unpleasant correspondence between the two. The two met on the 22nd August in Cardon Den, and resulted in Morgan's being shot through the heart and dying instantly.
It was reported that Morgan was killed by the very same pistol that killed his father, who was said to have met his death in a duel with the father of Landale.
By George Buchan of Kelloe, a civil servant who, as a teenager, was shipwrecked on his first passage to India.
