First published in 1808, this is an impressive topographical dictionary of the UK, with geographical, topographical, and statistical accounts of every district and place in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and various small islands of the British Empire.

Illustrated with a folding hand coloured map frontispiece, and forty-six further maps, including one hand coloured map and six folding maps. 

Collated, complete.

With fourteen pages of advertisements, dated December 1825, to the start of the work.

Rebound, with endpapers renewed.

Condition

Rebound in half calf, with marbled paper covered boards, and with endpapers renewed. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally bright, with only the odd spot. Light spotting to map perimeters.
