First Edition, Original Binding, Very Scarce

This set contains three out of the four total volumes that make up this very scarce novel. Lacking Volume III. 

In the original paper covered boards, with paper spine labels. 

This historical novel begins with the death of Rudolf I of Germany, and tells the story of Albert's fight against the election of Adolf as the new king. The novel sees him run away to his hereditary estates and gain his own loyal following against Adolf, leading to the Battle of Gollheim. 

Authorship is credited to "Scriblerus Secundus, sometime instructor of youth, Vulgo Grinder". 



Condition

In the original paper covered boards, with paper spine labels. Externally, with sunning to the spine labels and loss to the label of Vol IV. Rubbing and bumping to the extremities, most notably to the spines. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the odd spot, largely concentrated to the first and last few pages.
