    Fine Binding, Leather Binding

    This companion contains two parts and is a guide to the week including prayers, hymns and a companion for the altar. Full title: The New Week's Preparation for a worthy receiving of the Lord's Supper: as recommended and appointed by the Church of England: consisting of meditations and prayers for the morning and evening of every day in the week: with forms of examination and confession of sins: and a companion at the altar directing communicant in his behaviour and devotions at the Lord's table: also instructions how to live well after receiving the Holy Sacrament: to which are added a morning and evening prayer for the closest or family.

    Condition

    In a full calf gilt stamped binding. Personalised gilt stamp indicates owner as Isaac Oldham Bold Esq, Bailiff of Liverpool. Externally, very smart. Some mild rubbing to boards, joints and tail of spine. Small ink spill to rear board. Pastedowns and endpages lined with silk and gilt stamped. Internally, generally firmly bound. Front endpaper loose. Pages bright and clean.
