'The Etonian' was a paper containing articles and fictional works, projected and edited by Winthrop Mackworth Praed and Walter Blount, which appeared every month until July 1821, when the chief editor, who signed his contributions "Peregrine Courtenay," left Eton.

Ink inscription of Rodolph Alexander Hankey to the verso of the front endpaper of Volume I, dated at Eton College in March 1855.
Condition
In a full tree calf binding, bound by Oldfield. Externally, sound. Light marks and rubbing to the boards and spines. Small tear to the head of the front joint of Volume I. Front hinges are starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the verso of the front endpaper of Volume I. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots.
