In a half crushed morocco signed binding, with the stamp of Henry Sotheran to the verso of the front free endpaper, and the stamp of Bayntun-Riviere to the recto of the rear free endpaper.
The very scarce most desirable issue of this work, which was issued in four states: hand-coloured, india proof, large paper, small paper. This, the hand-coloured copy with plates on whatman paper, is the most scarce and most desirable. Cohn, 'George Cruikshank; a Catalogue Raisonne', 36.

Condition
In a half crushed morocco signed binding, with gilt detailing. Endpapers renewed. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with the odd spot and light handling marks throughout. Hand-coloured plates exceptionally vibrant.
