Charles Hutton's important course of mathematics, compiled for the Royal Military Academy, where Hutton was professor of mathematics from 1773 to 1807. This volume covers arithmetic, logarithms, algebra, and geometry.

The eighth edition, corrected and improved by Olinthus Gregory.
Condition
In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, a little worn, with rubbing to the boards and spine. Loss to the head of the spine and front joint. Bumping to the extremities. Ink mark to the head of the front board. Loss of paper to the rear board. Front hinge is starting. Lacking the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little age-toned with scattered spotting. Stamp to the title page.
