The Economy of Human Life is a moral and philosophical reflection on virtuous living. Framed as ancient Eastern wisdom, it advises on duties to family, society and God. First published in 1750.

Condition

In contemporary quarter roan. Externally worn, with rubbing to boards and extremities. Lacking endpapers and blanks, Prior owner's notes to paste down and reverse of frontispiece. Hinges slightly strained but firm. Internally firmly bound. The odd spot and handling mark. Slight loss to extremity of occasional leaf.
