'Scenes of British Wealth' presents various industries and their locations across Britain, taking the reader on a tour of commerce. This tour includes the hemp industry of Suffolk, the straw-work located in Dunstable, china manufacturing in Worcester, fish-hook business in Carlisle, the oil industry in Hull, and many others.
Rebound in calf backed, cloth covered boards, with endpapers renewed. Retaining half title. Advertisement leaf to the rear.
The work of Rev. Isaac Taylor, an English engraver and author of books for the young. This particular work was written as part of a series of topographical works entitled 'Scenes in...', each of which contain engravings from designs by himself and his son.
Condition
Rebound in calf backed, cloth covered boards, with endpapers renewed. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned to perimeters, with only the odd spot or light handling mark.
