The second edition of this very scarce work.

An interesting study on the police of London in Georgian England, only a few years before the establishment of the Metropolitan Police as we know it today. The police in the city at the time of this work were the Bow Street Runners, and Bow Street Horse Patrol.

Condition

Disbound, with remnants of a backstrip. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned and clean, with a few scattered spots. Small patch of worming to the head of the textblock, with no loss of text.
