    Illustrated with two folding appendices, and ten plates, with the majority being folding hand-coloured map plates. Collated, complete. 

    Lord Burghersh's (John Fane) very scarce memoir of the allied forces against the French during the Napoleonic wars. Burghersh provides an insightful first hand perspective of the renowned wars, being an aide-de-camp to the Duke of Wellington. The work focuses on the operations of the Austrian army led by Prince Schwarzenberg and the Prussian army led by Marshal Blucher.

    Bound in modern half morocco with marbled paper to the boards. Endpapers and blanks renewed.
