A poetical play by Sir Walter Scott, dramatising Scottish history in Scott's typical style.
Scott penned this play over the course of two rainy mornings, originally for a volume of poetical miscellany which was being compiled by Joanna Baillie. However Scott wrote so fervently that the play outgrew the original volume and had to be published separately.
