'Bracebridge Hall' is a novel consisting of a series of character sketches and numerous plots. The novel centers around the occupants on a manor in England, based on Aston Hall in Birmingham where the author visited.
This novel was written whilst Irving was living in England, and was published under the pseudonym of Geoffrey Crayon.
In an exceptionally lovely calf binding, with gilt detailing and blind tooling.
Condition
In a full calf binding with extensive gilt detailing and blind tooling to back strips and boards. Externally, excellent. Light rubbing to joints, with front joint heads starting, and boards holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright, with only the odd spot.
