    Illustrated, Leather Binding

    Charmingly illustrated with an engraved frontispiece and title page, and with an additional letterpress title page. Collated, complete.

    A later posthumously published edition of the devotional writings of Rev. William Romaine, in which he explores the nature and experience of Christian faith in daily life.

    First published in the late 18th century, Romaine encourages personal piety and reliance on Christ’s righteousness.

    Condition

    In a full calf binding. Gilt detailing to back strip. Small loss of calf to back strip head, rubbing to front board head. Rear joint head and tail starting, with board firmly held. Front joint starting, with board tenderly held by one cord only. Internally, firmly bound. First few leaves and tail of final few leaves significantly age toned, with pages otherwise clean and bright.
