Illustrated with two plates, and one folding plate.
This informative work contains medical articles on a variety of subjects by a number of eminent doctors and surgeons.
Amongst the topics discussed at length are apoplexy, 'ulcerations of the genital organs', epidemic fever, lymphatic glands, the effects of suppressed menstruation, blood transfusions, and military hygiene.
Condition
In a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Rubbing to back strip head and tail, joints, and board perimeters. Front joint starting, with front board tenderly held by two cords only to the head. Rear joint starting to head, with board a touch tender. Internally, generally firmly bound, though strained in places. Pages 395 to 401 lacking. Pages bright and generally clean, with the odd spot. Instances of pencil notations throughout.
