    Illustrated with fifty engravings, including a monochrome frontispiece, engraved title page, two folding maps, and forty-six engraved plates. Collated, complete. 

    A topographical study of Surrey by Thomas Cromwell, providing an account of his excursions in the county, a history of Surrey, and descriptions of the notable figures, nobility and gentry and their homes. The work is beautifully illustrated with engravings depicting scenic views of Surrey. 

    Bound in half calf with marbled paper to the boards. Endpapers and blanks renewed.

    Condition

    Bound in half calf with marbled paper to the boards. Endpapers and blanks renewed. Externally faded to the spine, with light rubbing to the boards, and very minimal edge wear. Owner's signature to the front free endpaper, with the odd spot to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright pages with occasional light spotting and age toning.
