Written by German Orientalist and Protestant theologian Ernst Friedrich Rosenmuller.
Rosenmuller promoted the study of the Arabic language and endeavoured to raise the exposition of the language and statements of the Old Testament to the level of the science of his day.
Uniformly bound in contemporary half calf, with a University of Cambridge gilt coat of arms to the front boards and spines.

Condition
Uniformly bound in contemporary half calf, with a University of Cambridge gilt coat of arms to the front boards and spines. Externally, smart, with slight rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the cloth. With the bookplate of one Arthur Charles Jennings to the front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with scattered spotting, most concentrated to the first and last few leaves.
