Sir Walter Scott remains a celebrated figure in Scottish literary history, and the landscape of Scotland features heavily in his works. He was also a political figure, prominent within the Tory establishment, and served as President of the Royal Society of Edinburgh for twelve years, between 1820 and 1832. He was a member of Clan Scott, a prominent Scottish clan.

Includes some of his best known poetical works, including The Lay of the Last Minstrel, Marmion and The Lady of the Lake.

Condition

In full straight grain morocco with gilt detail. Externally smart with rubbing to the extremities. Marks to the boards. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot, heavier to the first and last few pages.
