First published in 1804, this is the second Darton edition of this work; earlier editions had fewer plates.
With six pages of advertisements to the rear. Former owner's inscription to a front blank.
Condition
In a quarter morocco binding, with paper covered boards. Significant rubbing to back strip and boards. Rear joint and head of front joint starting, with boards firmly held. Small loss of calf to back strip head. Inscription to front blank. Internally, binding lightly strained. Pages lightly age toned, with the odd handling mark and instance of spotting.
