The very scarce first English language edition of French politician and agronomist Frederic Lullin de Chateauvieux, based upon letters he wrote between 1812 and 1813.

Translated into English by Edward Rigby, Esq.

An informative discussion of agriculture, soil health, and sewing of crops, with comparisons of Italian and French methods and techniques.

With an advertisement leaf to the rear.

Condition

In a full calf binding, with gilt detailing to back strip. Front board detached, but present. Head of rear hinge starting, with board firmly held. Inscription to verso of front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
