In full pebbled cloth binding. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, folding plan, eighteen maps of walks, seventy-eight engraved plates and numerous in-text engravings. Collated, complete, with 'St. Paul's Cathedral' plate bound as the frontispiece instead of p.97. 

A charming work detailing numerous beautiful walks to be taken throughout London, taking the reader across the city through the suburbs to the more populated areas.

Written by David Hughson, which is believed to have been the pen name of Edward Pugh, who is best known for his London; Being an Accurate History and Description of the British Metropolis and its Neighbourhood, to Thirty Miles Extent which he prepared from "an actual perambulation" (a real walk) of the city.

Condition

In full pebbled cloth binding. With fading to the spine and damp spots to the front board. Rubbing to the extremities, resulting in minor loss to the spine head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with scattered spots throughout, heaviest to the first and last leaves.
