Collated with six folding maps. Lacking the large folding map of England and Wales.

With six pages of advertisements to the front of the work, including an additional advertisement leaf for Cary's own globes to the recto of the contents page. Four further pages of advertisements to the rear of the work. 

Cary's New Itinerary provides a detailed itinerary of the major roads throughout England and Wales, including maps, the distances between towns and a detailed description of the various areas. The work was extremely popular due to its thoroughness and went through many editions.

Condition

In contemporary calf. Externally worn. Front joint weak with cords visible. Rear board detached but present. A trifle rubbed. Loss to spine labels. Amateur reinforcement to front hinge. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with age toning and scattered spotting.
