What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding

Three uniformly bound volumes, rebacked and in full calf.

The first of these volumes is a 'new edition' of Robert Nelson's memoir of the life of Bull, an individual who holds a high place among Anglican theologians, and as a defender of the doctrine of the Trinity was held in high esteem even by Roman Catholic controversialists in Europe.

The second work present here is a new edition of 'Some Important Points of Primitive Christianity Maintained and Defended in Several Sermons', complete in two volumes, and prefixed with a history of Bull's life by Nelson.

Each volume retains the original half title.

With the armorial bookplate of Francis George Coleridge to each front pastedown.

Condition

Rebacked, in full calf bindings, with endpapers renewed. Externally, lovely. Armorial bookplates to front pastedowns. Hinges strained, with boards firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally bright, but with instances of spotting throughout, most concentrated to first and last few leaves of each volume.
