What Our Customers Say...
Description
Leather Binding, Scarce
In the original Italian.
First published in 1811, this is a scarce early edition of this work from the Italian chemist and inventor, best remembered for his discovery of the process of electroplating.
A fascinating work, in which Brugnatelli provides an account of the natural, chemical and medical history of plants, and discusses the most useful vegetable and animal substances known to doctors.
A companion volume to Brugnatelli's 'Farmacopea Generale', but a complete work in itself.
Condition
In a quarter calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Light rubbing to spine tail. Loss to tail of front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned, with spotting and areas of foxing throughout.
