James MacQueen, a Scottish geographer, statistician, political campaigner, pro-slavery activist, banker and businessman, presents a chronological account of the major political developments and military actions of 1815, with particular emphasis on the return of Napoleon from Elba, the Hundred Days, and the Waterloo campaign.
McQueen draws on official documents, public speeches, and newspaper reports to compile a detailed overview of events in France and across Europe during this pivotal year.
With errata leaf to the rear.
The narrative aims to provide the British public with a comprehensive and factual record of the year’s dramatic events.

In a full calf binding. Front board detached but present. Rear joint starting, with board a touch tenderly held to tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages a touch age toned due to paper type, otherwise clean and bright.
