Illustrated, Leather Binding

An 1813 edition of Sir Philip Warwick's 1702 work 'Memoirs of the Reign of King Charles the First'.

Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece, and with an additional portrait plate, and a facsimile of the title page of the 1702 first edition.

Collated, complete.

Philip Warwick was a seventeenth century English writer and politician. He was a loyal supporter of Charles II and was knighted and made a member of parliament. He is chiefly known for this work, written between 1675 and 1677. 

With an advertisement leaf to the rear.

Rebacked, with endpapers renewed.

Condition

Rebacked, in a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Endpapers renewed. Light rubbing to board perimeters. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned, with the odd spot. Title page reinforced to gutter.
