Description

First Edition, Leather Binding, Very Scarce

The very scarce first edition of this work.

A second edition - also vanishingly scarce - was published in 1826.

Arranged in question and answer format, in his work Rev. Charles Birch provides explanations and context for the 'collects of our excellent church', referring to the set form of the short prayer used in Christian liturgy.

The author explains that questions from children under his care prompted the construction of this work.

With an errata leaf preceding the contents list.
