Two poetical works from Scottish novelist, poet and historian Sir Walter Scott.

Both of these works are present in the fourth edition, and attractively bound in straight grain morocco.

The first of these works is the 1813 fourth edition of 'The Lord of the Isles', a narrative poem about Robert the Bruce, detailing Robert the Bruce's return from exile and the culmination of his struggle against English control at the Battle of Bannockburn.

Retaining the half title, and with an advertisement leaf to the rear.

The 1815 fourth edition of 'Rokeby', narrative poem arranged in six cantos, set in Teesdale during the English Civil War. The poem grew from Scott's friendship with J. B. S. Morritt, whose home at Rokeby Park is the setting of the poem.
