    The first edition of volume XVI of the 'Archaeologia: Or Miscellaneous Tracts Relating to Antiquity', a publication containing essays, articles and illustrations related to antiquities, focussing upon archaeological discoveries, historical analyses, and discussions of ancient manuscripts and artefacts.

    Illustrated with seventy-two plates, many of which are folding.

    Collated, complete.

    Articles featured include 'Account of an Ancient Manuscript of St. John's Gosepl', 'Account of Greek Coins of Lybia', and 'An Account of the Opening of a Great Barrow at Stow-Hearth, near Aylsham in Norfolk'.

    Condition

    In a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Rubbing to back strip head and tail and joints, otherwise externally excellent. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
