Illustrated with twelve monochrome engraved plates. Collated, lacking the 'Plan of London', which is usual for this work.

Hunter passed away before the completion of this work, and the publisher Stockdale with the assistance of hacks completed the work for publication. Condition
Contemporary full calf boards, re-backed in later calf. Externally, marks, slight fading, rubbing to the boards, with wear to the extremities of the boards. Hinges cracked but remaining firm. Internally firmly bound with bright pages and the odd spot, heavier to the front and verso of plates.
