What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding, Very Scarce

In both Latin and English.

A very scarce work, first published in 1795.

Intended 'for the use of those who are entering on the study of the Latin language', passages from the Old Testament are presented in Latin, with a dictionary and alphabetical vocabulary accompanying them for educational purposes.

A note to the verso of the title page remarks 'teachers, and the public in general, are therefore informed, that the book will constantly be kept in quantities at the stores of the copy-holders. The price is one dollar a copy, and ten dollars for a dozen copies'.

Condition

In a calf binding, with a touch of rubbing to joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned due to paper type, with spotting to first few leaves, but pages otherwise clean.
