Description

The second edition of this work, with additions.

An association copy, inscribed to the title page head 'From Sir J Eardley Wimot'. This is likely the inscription of Sir John Eardley Eardley-Wilmot, 1st Baronet, a British MP who served as Lieutenant-Governor of Tasmania. He was the grandson of the subject of this work, and the son of the author of this work.

Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece.

A biographical life of Sir John Eardley Wilmot, who served as Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas from 1766 to 1771 and was a member of the Privy Council. Written by his son, John Wilmot, it offers a personal and professional portrait, drawing on original letters to illustrate his legal career, public service, and private character.

With an errata leaf to the rear.

A wonderful association copy of this informative work.
