What Our Customers Say...

Early Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding

In half calf binding with decorative cloth boards.

A new edition of this work.

Illustrated with a frontispiece of the Great Harry and charming in-text woodcut portraits throughout the work.

A wonderful collection of British historical narratives aimed at children. Written under Nathaniel Crouch's pseudonym of Richard Burton.

Crouch was an English printer and bookseller who also wrote historical books. He was one of the first publishers to aim his books specifically at children.

Although widely denounced by historians of the following centuries, he is now regarded as a figure of interest in the development of historiography.

With a full index to the rear.
