What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Leather Binding, Rebound, Very Scarce

This very scarce and impressively detailed reference work provides information on taxes, stamp duties, fairs, and roads, while also detailing the British army and navy lists for the year.

The almanack includes a calendar of public holidays, information on full moons, a gardener's calendar, conversion tables, and information on Scottish solicitors and clerks.

A contemporary owner has annotated a front blank with information on 'list of stamps for bills of exchange & notes - Ireland'.

With a contemporary stamp, dated 1809, to the verso of the title page.

In a smart half calf binding. Endpapers renewed.

Condition

Rebound in half calf, with marbled paper covered boards. Bump to spine head, otherwise externally excellent. Endpapers renewed. Inscriptions to a front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned, but generally clean. Stamp to verso of title page.
