Leather Binding

English Bards and Scotch Reviewers is a satirical poem written by Lord Byron. It was first published, anonymously, in March 1809; the opening parodies the first satire of Juvenal. A second, expanded edition followed later in 1809, with Byron identified as the author. The text is referred to in Tom Stoppard's play Arcadia. It is also referenced in John Edward Williams' novel Stoner in which it is mistaken by an incompetent graduate student as John Keats' work.

Condition

In a brown half calf leather binding with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, a trifle rubbed. Front board is held by cords only. Internally, generally firmly bound, though binding is loosening in places. Pages are generally bright and clean with some age-toning and scattered light foxing.
