Condition
In half calf binding, with marble paper boards and gilt detailing to the spine. There is wear to the extremities including rubbing to the marble paper boards on all volumes and chips and scratches to the leather binding. Volume 1 has cracks on the front and rear outer hinge and the spine. Volume 2 has a large crack on the spine resulting in pages 1-150 holding by one cord only. Volume 3 has a crack to the rear outer hinge.The front board of Volume 5 is holding by one cord only at the bottom and this may become detached in the post. The front board of Volume 6 is holding by two cords. The front and rear outer hinges of Volume 7 are cracked. The front outer hinge of Volume 8 is cracked and part of the spine is peeling away at the top. A section of the top part of the spine on Volume 2 is detached and tucked inside the book. Internally, firmly bound, with all covers and pages attached. Pages are generally bright and clean with some handling wear and mild spotting to some pages.
