The vanishingly scarce second published edition of the work. No copies of this edition held institutionally, with only two copies of the first edition from 1806 held. No copies of this edition seen in commerce.
No complete collation available, although appears to be bound without extra engraved title page and frontispiece present in the first edition. Three plates depicting the funeral rites of Nelson to the rear of the work present. Endpapers renewed and blanks discarded.
An informative work documenting the life and career of Nelson, notably his victories in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.
Condition
Rebound in modern quarter calf. Externally in lovely condition. Endpapers renewed and blanks discarded. Lacking additional engraved title page and frontispiece. Internally firmly bound. Pages clean with the odd spot and age toning, due to paper used.
