This collection contains the calendars for the years 1806, 1809, 1811, 1812, 1813, 1814, 1835, 1867, and 1912. Being volumes thirty-four, thirty-seven, thirty-nine, forty, forty-one, forty-two, sixty-three, ninety-five, and one hundred and forty accordingly. Each volume contains an abstract of engagements entered into for future years. Written by Edward and James Weatherby, publishers and directors of Weatherbys Ltd., a UK conglomerate involved in a wide range of activities largely within banking and horse racing. The original business was founded by James Weatherby in 1770, with his first racing calendar being published in 1773.
