    Description

    Illustrated, Leather Binding

    Comprising 'The Traveller', 'The Deserted Village', 'The Hermit' and many other verses besides.

    Written by Irish author Oliver Goldsmith (1728-1774). A writer of both fiction, poetry and non-fiction, Goldsmith's other works include his celebrated novel, 'The Vicar of Wakefield', as well as biographical and historical works.

    Including a sketch of the author's life.

    The second edition, with original anecdotes communicated by the Rev. John Evans.

    Printed for the Albion Press.

    Presented to C. Collins by M. A. Naylor, 1911.

    Illustrated with a frontispiece engraving, as well as six engraved plates throughout.

    Condition

    In a contemporary full calf binding. Externally generallt smart, with some edgewear to the extremities and to the front joint. Internally, generally firmly bound; front hinge is starting a touch but remains firm. Pages are bright and clean.
