What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding
The scarce first edition of this work.
Volumes I and II only of this work. A third volume was published much later, in 1825.
Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece and title page to each volume, and with five further plates to volume I, and seven to volume II.
Collated, complete.
A wonderful study of Wiltshire from English antiquary, topographer, author and editor John Britton.

Robert J. Hayhurst inherited and improved a successful group of retail pharmacies, John Hayhurst & Son, based in Nelson, Lancashire. He was a keen collector of naval history and of eighteenth-century literature in contemporary bindings.
